Courses are designed to prepare students for admission to university academic and vocational-technical education programs and to help students who are having trouble with courses or want to improve their skills. There are three categories of developmental education courses: English (DEVE), math (DEVM), and study skills (DEVS).
A Developmental Math Lab is located inside the TVC Learning Center in room 102 of the Tanana Valley Campus Center as well as on the UAF main campus in Gruening 305. The Labs provide tutoring and small group instruction for students taking developmental, academic or vocational math, English or reading courses. Stop by the TVC Learning Center to learn of the many resources available to students.
