Diesel and Heavy Equipment
The diesel and heavy equipment certificate offers students training in the maintenance and repair of trucks, buses and heavy equipment. Students who complete this Fast
Track Training certificate are able to work on diesel and power generation equipment found in most industry settings. This certificate program emphasizes hands-on training and in-class experience as students perform preventative maintenance inspections, determine causes of equipment problems and make necessary repairs and adjustments from tune-ups to complete engine and equipment overhauls. Students work on large fuel trucks, electrical and air systems, diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, crawler tractor undercarriages, steering and final drives.
