Application and Acceptance Process
Fast-Track Training Eligibility 
- Must be 18 years of age
Students who are 17and have a high school diploma or a GED may apply with the permission of their parents or guardians. These students must be 18 by program completion. - High school diploma or GED
Applicants must provide a high school or GED transcript. Without a diploma or GED, applicants must score 32 in Writing Skills, 62 in Reading, and 25 in Pre algebra/Number Skills on the COMPASS Assessment to prove “ability to benefit” before admission.
How to Apply
Applications may be obtained and submitted any time through the following steps:-
Download and complete a paper copy of the Fast-Track Training Application Form. Completed applications should be returned to the TVC Student Assistance and Advising Center located at 604 Barnette Street, Room 110.

Application packets are also available for pick up at the Tanana Valley Campus Center located at 604 Barnette Street, Room 110.

Fast Track Training courses begin each summer or fall depending on the program and run over the course of 9-12 months.
- Shortly after the application is submitted, applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with the recruiter/advisor. The purpose of this meeting is to review the application and other optional information submitted by the applicant (resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts, certificates, etc.)
- Students may be scheduled to take a COMPASS Assessment Test (Fast Track Training requirement). Most programs have specific program requirements. Read the program descriptions carefully. This assessment allows appropriate guidance to potential students.
- Student Applications, resumes, letters of reference, and test scores will evaluated by a selection committee.
How Will I Know if I Have Been Accepted?
Applicants will receive a letter to inform them of their acceptance.
Additional Requirements
Students must meet physical requirements or request special accommodation in advance. See individual program descriptions for details. If you require assistance in this area, contact the Student Assistance Center to request special accommodation.
Many employers have additional “conditions of employment” that can prove to be a barrier. For those people who are on probation, parole, undergoing treatment, or who have recently completed treatment, please contact your recruiter/advisor for more information.
Applicants who do not complete their application or provide inaccurate or incomplete information will not be considered by the Selection Committee. Also anyone found to have provided false or inaccurate information will not be allowed to complete the program.
Enrollment
Once you receive notice of acceptance into the Fast-Track Training, you will be required to apply for admission to UAF. The Undergraduate Application for Admission must be completed and submitted to the Tanana Valley Campus Student Assistance Center.
