Program Cost/Financial Aid
Fast-Track Training is funded through a USDOL grant to TVC that offers free tuition to all applicants. This grant pays for tuition only. Students are responsible for all fees, books, tools, supplies, room and board, transportation and other miscellaneous expenses. These other costs can often be offset by applying for other forms of financial aid such as grants or scholarships.
The forms needed to apply for federal, state and UAF financial aid programs are available at the TVC Student Assistance Center or www.uaf.edu/finaid/. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for a Pell Grant, federal supplemental grants, federal loans, federal work study, the Alaska Supplemental Education Loan and various scholarships. UAF also offers payment plans. Students should also contact the local Job Center to see if they qualify for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds. FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Housing Eligibility
All UAF students are eligible for campus housing, but students are not guaranteed housing until approved by the Department of Residence Life. To better manage occupancy, Residence Life may establish occupancy priorities and eligibility/credit hour requirements.
