Teach part-time without disrupting your full-time career. Courses require 3 hours of in-class instruction time with 3-7 hours of preparation time per week. Courses generally last 15 weeks. Many courses are also offered online. The time committment is about the same, but classes are held at times that fit your schedule and commitments.

Experience how much you can make a difference in a student's life. As an instructor, you become a vital part of helping develop the community's workforce and future. You can take pride when students tell you of their career accomplishments and how you helped them succeed.

Expand Your Knowledge
As a part-time faculty member you are given a tuition waiver to apply toward any UAF course offered. You may pursue another degree.

Teaching is also one of the best ways to develop your own expertise. When you read current texts (provided free of charge), develop course materials, review student assignments, and encourage class discussions, you are expanding your own knowledge base. Teaching allows allows you to network with other professionals in your field, while developing your organizational and leadership skills.
