This one-semester training meets the educational requirements
for the State of Alaska administered test for Certified Nurse Aide. After satisfactory completion of the training, students
may sit for the state certification examination. Certified
Nurse Aide job opportunities include positions in long-term
care, home health care, and acute care settings. Students
must receive the first two of three Hepatitis B immunizations,
show proof of a recent negative TB test, MMR, and Chicken
Pox titer, prior to participation in the Nurse Aide Practicum.
