Students should have taken CIOS 110 Microcomputer Operating Systems or have equivalent skills before taking this class.

- To be able to install and configure the operating system.
- To be able to optimize and troubleshoot the operating system.

- To be able to install and configure the operating system to use appropriate hardware.
- To be able to install and configure the operating system to take advantage of network resources.
- To be able to choose and install appropriate applications within the operating system.
- To be able to optimize the operating system to take advantage of its specific strengths.
