TVC Student Assistance
Financial Aid

Many TVC and UAF students use some kind of financial aid to help pay for their university education. You can apply for financial aid if you're a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and are admitted or plan to be admitted to the university. Students holding a F-1 or J-1 visa are not eligible to apply for federal or state financial assistance, but may apply for UAF scholarships, fellowships, assistantships and some work programs.

Financial aid can help pay for tuition and fees, books and supplies, and living expenses. It provides access to higher education by offering a way to meet the costs, and it allows students to persist in completing their educational objectives.

Financial aid advisers are available at the Tanana Valley Campus Center during the semester; call 455-2800 for more information. Our Student Assistance Center can also assist you with your questions regarding financial aid. To learn more about the types of financial aid available to you, including online application forms and the ability to check the status of aid you have already applied for, visit the website for the UAF Office of Financial Aid and UAF Advancement Services.
